Natural Gas

No issue may have greater impact on Eagles Mere than the exploration and drilling for natural gas as over 1,750 wells are planned to be drilled in Pennsylvania. To date, the Conservancy views our role as one of an educator, providing our membership and the surrounding community useful information, interactive forums, and access to important material. In 2010, the Conservancy helped to fund a hydrology study of the Eagles Mere Lake with other local organizations and sponsors.  If you would like additional information on the natural gas situation effecting our community, please consult the Protect Eagles Mere Alliance website at www.protecteaglesmere.org.
